68% of Accounting Leaders Lack Efficient Technology for Rising Business Demands
Many finance teams don’t feel they have the right tools to support demands from the business.
Adam Zaki - CFO.com
'A company’s integration of technology can be a deciding factor in whether employees stick around.'
ABSTRACT
Based on a recent survey of more than 500 accountants and finance leaders, this article states that over two thirds of accounting terms cannot keep pace with the workloads demanded of them.
With an industry already under pressure due to a shortage of talent, the research states that nearly three quarters of those surveyed say that the lack of automation is preventing finance teams from focusing on what is important and that is analytics and process improvements.
This is further complicated by the lack of quality data leading to accounting teams having to manually collect, validate and correct information received from other departments.
The survey goes on to say that over half of these finance and accounting professionals feel that the lack of technology is dramatically reducing productivity.
